This article is an extension of my previous article about next level faith, but it can also be seen as an article on its own. This is about living with our hands open to God.
I believe we should live with an expectation that God can bless us beyond our wildest dreams. This being said, God doesn't just bless us by giving us money or things. Why do we have this perception that blessings = money?
We all know that money can't buy happiness, it can help to make life easier, but it doesn't mean it will. Usually it just makes things more complicated and go pear shape in the end.
God is too creative to bless us in just one way, and If we look at scripture we see that he really likes testing us. One way He likes testing us is by removing what He has given us before replacing it with something new.
This is the part where we usually begin panicking and try to do things our way because we feel God has forsaken or failed us. This is failing the test completely and not trusting God. We should be letting Him work through us. Because we are not perfect and even though we can have this perception that we have something in control, we don't, and if we do it is only because He allows it.
This is only one of the reasons why we should live with our hands wide open. It is truly very hard to give someone something if their hands are closed. Living with open hands shows that we trust God enough to give and take when He knows we are ready for the next step.
It also shows that we are not trying to hide anything from Him. God already knows everything, but He still wants us to be honest and open with Him.
